Welcome

Genealogy is a subject without a beginning or an end, liken to a jigsaw puzzle, the more pieces you have.... the easier it is for to understand the Complete picture. I have visited site after genealogical website finding names, places and dates without substance, sources, proof or meaning.

That is not what I personally believe genealogy is about.

All lives are filled with both laughter and tears. For me, genealogy is touching the lives of those who came before....outlining to some extent their experiences, observations, character and their ways; not necessarily for their guidance, but perhaps their avoidance. Whenever possible genealogy should be an introduction, rather than a listing.

In 1919, my cousin, Philip Suter said, “It is undoubtedly a fact that few children know the history of their parents and even fewer yet.... who know the lineage they sprang from. The child hears little and probably cares less as he or she grows older, with their own responsibilities and trials, unless he or she is given to appreciate the pride of their lineage, of whom they are the custodian of. It is this pride, certainly without ostentation or display that, coupled with parents love and memory, will without doubt guide and direct them in all circumstances.”
